The self aligning clutch system was designed by Larry Bergen as an upgrade replacement for clutches that had to be bolted down to the fan hub and dial indicated true and square.

Using the delrin bushings that are bolted to the fan hub allow the system to self center AND provide some dampening against the hard pulses from the engine, especially the Gasser engines.



We use, and have always used, a solid, heavy clutch. The clutch was also tested and designed to engage at certain RPM's depending on application (Gas or Nitro).
