The Bergen R/C Industrial Turbine is a workhorse capable of lifting up to a 25 lb. payload or fly for appx one half hour on a full load of fuel. Flight times will be reduced, the heavier the payload. Additional fuel can be added for longer flight times, which of course reduce your payload capability accordingly. This big bird can be used as a Heavy Lifting UAV platform or carrying the Larger HD format cameras in an underslung system.
The Industrial Turbine uses The Wren MW 54 turbine engine, producing approximately 8 horsepower, manufactured by Wren Turbines of England. This is a 2-stage system, giving increased fuel economy and power. The gearbox is the new Fuel lubricated HD type, reducing maintenance needs.
Power is transmitted through a heavy-duty double clutch and clutch bell to a double main gear. A fully hardened 10mm hollow main shaft turns the all aluminum head and fully ball raced aluminum blade grips. Symmetrical 810mm V-Blades are included to provide the lifting power. MAH Hi-lift 890mm blades can be substituted for increased lifting capacity.
The Industrial Turbine features an aluminum torque tube to transmit power to the large aluminum tail gearbox with Delrin gears and 130 mm tail blades.
The landing gear is doubled to handle the weight of the helicopter, and 1/8th G10 frames provide the strength to hold it all together.

The Industrial Turbine comes pre-assembled and test flown from the factory. It is NOT available as a kit. Only minor assembly is necessary after you receive the helicopter. We will install and use your radio gear for the test flights.
Terms of Purchase:
A non refundable deposit of $5,000.00 plus the total cost of all radio gear to be purchased must accompany the initial order. The remaining balance plus shipping and handling fees are due prior to shipment. Lead time for the engine is 3-4 weeks.
